Bare came to life after our founders, Sam and Cale, attended traditional funerals that followed a similar pattern of churches, funeral parlours and sombre reflections about the person who’d died.

Whilst this kind of farewell is perfect for some people, it doesn't work for everyone. By providing a high quality private cremation service, we allow families to create a memorial that truly honours the life of the individual, such as a dinner at their favourite restaurant or bar, a fireworks display or a backyard BBQ. 

The time constraints of a traditional funeral often leave us scrambling to organise something while we’re still so consumed with our grief. That’s why we’ve flipped the order at Bare. First we’ll organise a respectful, unattended cremation, and once you receive your ashes you are able to plan a memorial service that’s right for you, whether that’s immediately, in a month or in a year’s time.
